The Devils are pushing for a National League play-off place

Plymouth Devils claimed their first away win of the season on Tuesday, beating the Isle of Wight by just a single point.

The game at the Smallbrook Stadium was abandoned after 12 heats because of a curfew, but the result will stand.

The Devils move up to third in the National League and only need four points from their final two matches to guarantee a play-off place.

Plymouth now host Bournemouth in the National League on Friday evening.

Isle of Wight: Nick Simmons 9 (3 rides), Brendan Johnson (rider replacement), Matt Wright 9+1 (4 rides), Ben Hopwood 3 (3), Chris Johnson 6 (3), Reserves: Dan Berwick 2 (5), Tom Hill 6 (5).

Plymouth: Tony Atkin 8 (3 rides), Paul Starke 6+2 (4), Matt Bates 5+1 (4), Seemond Stephens 6 (3), Kyle Hughes 4 (3). Reserves: Josh Dingle 3+1 (4), David Gough 4 (3).
