Isle of Man rider Ryan Kneen set the pace in the first timed qualifying session at the Manx Grand Prix in dry and sunny conditions on Monday evening. Kneen set the fastest time to top both the Senior and Junior classes at an impressive 115.626 mph. In 2008 Kneen claimed victory in newcomers race A, whilst his brother Dan made Grand Prix history by claiming a hat-trick of wins. The next session is on Tuesday with roads due to close at 1800 BST. Meanwhile, Paul Owen, Joe Phillips, Sean Murphy, Andrew Farrell, Brian Mateer, Dave Madsen Mygdal, Ryan Farquhar, Roy Richardson and Ewan Hamilton set the pace in other classes. There were seven incidents reported during the evening's practice. Glyn Jones stopped at the Waterworks suffering from cramp, whilst Mark Woods and Jochen Trockel came off at the Gooseneck. Chris Foster and Stuart Thomas came off at Governors whilst Alan Pahor slid off at Kerrowmoar and Paul Noble had a similar incident at Sulby Bridge. All riders are reported as being okay.
