Marshals are sought for Manx GP

The Isle of Man TT Marshals Association is appealing for marshals to ensure that Saturday's opening Manx Grand Prix practice session can go ahead.

Vice-chairman Terry Holmes said: "The first weekend is always difficult as people are still making their way over for the races."

There will be two sign-on sessions, starting on Thursday at the George in Castletown at 1900 BST.

The second will be on Friday at the same time at the Villa Marina.

Alternatively volunteers can sign-on at the Isle of Man TT Marshals Association office at the back of the Grandstand between 0900 BST and 1730 BST.

A total of 508 marshals are required for each session to go ahead and the IOM TT MA say they are around 30 short of that total for Saturday.
