Breeze's wins move him back up to second in the Ginetta G50 series
King's Lynn's Carl Breeze put himself back into Championship contention with two wins in the Ginetta G50 series at Snetterton on Saturday.
After qualifying on pole, the former Touring Car driver led from start to finish in a tight, opening race.
In the second race he stretched his lead to over 10 seconds by the end.
Breeze told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It's brilliant. It boosts your confidence having the home support. To bounce back with two wins is a great result."
He added: "It was really hard out there. We had the rain halfway through the second race and I had to keep pushing to keep the heat in the tyres."
Breeze, who was a saloon car driver for many years in the British Touring Car and Seat Cupra Championships, admits he would like to continue with traditional racing cars in the future.
"I like touring cars but I'm starting to go the sports car route now. Hopefully results like that will bring me to the attention of a few teams.
"The aim for the future is to try and go to America or do a Le Mans 24-Hour and results like this won't do my cause any harm," he added.
