Palmer unveils Snetterton plans
MotorSport Vision boss Jonathan Palmer
MotorSport Vision boss Jonathan Palmer has big plans for Snetterton
MotorSport Vision boss Jonathan Palmer has unveiled plans to turn the Snetterton circuit near Norwich into a venue for international racing.

The circuit has never hosted an international event in its 54-year history but that looks set to change.

"I'd like Snetterton to be holding an exciting international event within three years," said Palmer.

"We expect planning permission within a year and the whole project should be completed within five."

Palmer's proposal includes the construction of a purpose-built train station for the venue, as well as the development of a hotel and business park and alterations to the track lay-out.

"Part of the development is to bring the track up to FIA international grade two specification and that would mean we could hold races for anything from the World Touring Car Championship, Champ Cars or Le Mans sportscars - anything apart from Formula One," he added.
