Adams was making his 500th appearance for the Robins |
Swindon celebrated their 60th birthday with a 56-39 win over Belle Vue to give them a four-point lead at the top of the Elite League table. The start of the meeting was delayed by an hour because of a heavy rain shower - but the Robins dominated once the action got underway. Leigh Adams scored a paid maximum for Swindon and told BBC Wiltshire it was a good victory in difficult conditions. "It's not ideal, but we got on with it and the win's the main thing," he said. "It was difficult at the start and it's tough for all the boys mentally, but I've ridden here a lot of times and I trust the track staff."
