Harvey finished fifth and ninth in the two races at Silverstone

Lincolnshire racing driver Jack Harvey is aiming for another strong display at the Nurburgring in Germany in round four of the Formula BMW Europe series.

The 16-year-old Fortec Motorsport racer from Bassingham is fifth in the standings after two good finishes in the previous round at Silverstone.

Harvey said: "I had a good test at the Nurburgring earlier in the year and I've improved a lot since then.

"I'm keen to see how I get on now with more experience under my belt."

He added: "I want to concentrate on qualifying as it can sometimes turn out to be so important and with the times in the top half of the field being so incredibly tight, missing a good place on the grid could mean missing out on a podium result."

The first race at the Nurburgring, which also hosts Formula One's German Grand Prix this weekend, is on Saturday afternoon, with race two on Sunday morning.
