Harvey's maiden win came in the previous round at Zandvoort

Lincolnshire racing driver Jack Harvey finished fifth in Saturday's opening race of the third round of Formula BMW Europe series at Silverstone.

Starting from fifth, the 16-year-old battled with the leaders throughout before settling for fifth late on.

In Sunday's second race a great start from 14th saw him come home in ninth.

He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "The track's a dream to drive, it's fast and flowing and it was great to be there with the Formula One home crowd."

He added: "There were a lot of spectators and a lot of influential and important people, so hopefully they noticed me and in a couple of years it will come in handy."
