Plymouth Devils moved up to fifth in the National League table after beating second-placed King's Lynn 57-37. Kyle Hughes was top points scorer for the Devils on Friday, grabbing 12 from five rides at the St Boniface Arena. Matt Bates continued his impressive form at reserve by clocking up 11 points from six rides. Devils captain Seemond Stephens and Mark Simmonds were unbeaten until both were excluded from heat 13 for separate incidents. Cornish debutant Josh Dingle, 15, enjoyed a successful meeting, securing six points from five outings. But David Gough was forced to withdraw following the first heat after suffering a back injury while working on his engine.
