Steve Plater rides for the Lincolnshire-based HM Plant Honda

Lincolnshire rider Steve Plater says his Superbike win at the Isle of Man TT on Friday was the best of his career.

The 36-year-old won the blue riband Senior TT finishing 20 seconds ahead of Conor Cummins.

Plater told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I am over the moon to win the main race of the week and set a new lap record. It is a dream come true."

"This is massive, I have won in Macau and the North West 200 but the TT is the be-all and end-all."

He added: "I've got another job to do now in try to win the British Supersport Championship so all eyes are on that now."
