Norfolk beat Lincolnshire by five wickets at Grantham to reach the semi-finals of the MCCA Knockout Trophy. Batting first, Lincs made 265-9 in their 50 overs, with Martyn Dobson hitting 68 and Vikram Atri 58. George Walker was the pick of Norfolk's bowlers, taking 3-34, while captain Carl Rogers took two wickets. In reply, Rogers made 80 and Trevor Ward 56, but despite slipping from 226-2 to 230-5, Walker hit the winning run for Norfolk with eight balls left. Norfolk will face Oxfordshire in the semi-finals on Sunday, 28 June. Lincolnshire, who lost to Norfolk on the same ground at the same stage of the competition last season, have now been beaten twice in a week by them, having also suffered a nine-wicket defeat in their Minor Counties Championship match at Sleaford.
