Swindon are up to second in the Elite League after a 50-42 win over leaders Wolverhampton on Thursday. Reserve Cory Gathercole was the hero for the Robins scoring a paid 16 points after Troy Batchelor crashed in his first race of the evening. Swindon manager Alun Rossiter told BBC Wiltshire the 22-year-old was the difference between the teams. "Cory was the hero tonight, I'm really chuffed for him and hopefully he's go a bright future ahead of him." Gathercole was delighted with the win, and his performance at the Abbey Stadium. "I'm super happy with that," he said. "I've done my job and more, it's definitely my best ever in the Elite League." Leigh Adams scored 13 for the Robins, with Jurica Pavlic also in good form with a paid 11 points to maintain the team's perfect home record. For Wolverhampton Freddie Lindgren, Peter Karlsson and Tai Woffinden all scored double figures.
