Rossiter has said he will change the team if performances do not improve |
Swindon boss Alun Rossiter has threatened to make changes to his underperforming team after their 53-41 Elite League defeat at Wolverhampton. Leigh Adams top scored for the Robins with 13 but Troy Batchelor and Simon Stead managed just three points each. Rossiter told BBC Wiltshire: "We certainly need more from Troy and Steady. Three points from them is just quite simply not good enough." The result leaves Swindon seven points behind Wolves in the Elite League. And after his side were installed as pre-season favourites to win their first title since 1967, the Robins boss knows the pressure is on. "I keep being reminded if I was a football manager I could be sacked," he added. Stead acknowledged the criticism from Rossiter and recognised that his performance was well below par. "It was desperately disappointing and I'm really, really angry with myself," he said. "No excuses, I've got to sort things out quickly, and we'll be working hard on it in the next week."
