Batchelor crashed in his opening race of the win over Wolverhampton |
Swindon rider Troy Batchelor faces two months out of action after breaking his wrist in the win over Wolverhampton. The Robins will have to operate rider replacement for him in Friday night's Elite League meeting at Lakeside. Swindon boss Alun Rossiter said in the long term they will need a temporary replacement for Batchelor in order to maintain their title challenge. "It's a big blow, but the middle order has been a concern and we are looking at what we can do," he said. The Robins are also making a change at reserve for their meeting with the Hammers, as both Cory Gathercole and Ryan Fisher are riding for their Premier League sides. Richard Sweetman will make his first appearance of the season for Swindon in their place.
