Birmingham Brummies owner Tony Mole addressed the Perry Barr crowd after Wednesday's 45-45 draw with Stoke to promise imminent team changes. The Brummies finished bottom of their group in the Premier Trophy with only two wins in their 12 group matches. Team changes are now permissible with the publication of new averages for team-building purposes. The Brummies were set for a rare win until captain Jason Lyons fell in the final heat. There was little to choose between the Brummies and Stoke throughout the evening, as in the reverse fixture in the group at Stoke in April. Stoke led by two points with three heats to go, but the Brummies reversed that when Lyons and Tomasz Piszcz combined for a 5-1 in heat 13. Jason Bunyan won heat 14 for Stoke to bring the scores level. When Piszcz led the final heat from Bunyan and Lyons, the Brummies were set for victory, but Lyons fell for the second time in the meeting leaving the heat and the meeting drawn. Afterwards, Brummies owner Tony Mole took the microphone on the centre green to assure the home supporters that team changes would be made before their opening Premier League meeting, at home to Redcar on 20 May. BIRMINGHAM: Tomasz Piszcz 14, Robert Ksiezak 8+2, Ludvig Lindgren 8+1, Richard Sweetman 7, Jason Lyons 5+2, Daniel Halsey 2, Ben Taylor 1. STOKE: Jason Bunyan 14, Klaus Jakobsen 12+3, Lee Complin 7, Jesper Kristiansen 5, Glen Phillips 4, Tom P Madsen 3+1, Phil Morris r/r.
