Swindon will entertain three former British League sides in a four-team tournament later in the summer.

The Cradley Heath Heathens, Reading Racers and Oxford Cheetahs have all closed down during the past decade.

Now sides representing the three defunct teams will compete in a meeting against the Swindon Robins at the Abbey Stadium on Thursday, 30 July.

Adam Skornicki will captain Oxford, Adam Shields fronts Cradley Heath with Phil Morris leading the Reading side.

Swindon co-owner Gary Patchett said: "We want to try and include riders with a connection to the club for which they will be competing.

"Adam Skornicki is a rider who is regarded highly by Oxford supporters and his addition should prove a popular one."

Supporters groups representing the three former sides are hoping the meeting will highlight their campaigns to bring speedway back to Oxford, Reading and Cradley.
