 Fisher could not take his final ride for Swindon after an accident in heat eight |
Swindon dropped off top spot in the Elite League after losing 50-41 at Eastbourne, in a meeting which saw three of their riders finish injured. Reserves Ryan Fisher and Krzysztof Stojanowski both had to withdraw from the meeting, while Jurica Pavlic also picked up an injury in his final ride. Eastbourne also suffered on a night of crashes for both sides, with David Norris needing treatment. Swindon have slipped to second in the Elite League, the Eagles are now fifth. The Robins still had a chance of claiming a point going into the final race, but Leigh Adams and Travis McGowan could only draw the heat. The two Australians were Swindon's top scorers on the night combining for 25 points, while Lewis Bridger and Cameron Woodward lead the way for Eastbourne with 11 each.
