Greer played a major part in helping Swindon avoid relegation to League 2
Swindon Town have agreed a two-year deal with centre-back Gordon Greer following his release by Doncaster.
The 28-year-old defender spent three months on loan at the County Ground last season, making 19 appearances.
He was made captain during that time and was one of manager Danny Wilson's top summer target targets.
Greer, who will sign on 1 July, told BBC Wiltshire: "I had bigger offers on the table but I felt that after my spell here I wanted to come back."
He is the first of several planned signings as Swindon overhaul a defence which conceded 71 goals last season.
"I'm just glad that I've agreed terms and I'm really looking forward to next season."
"I think we've got a good team here and I've never seen anything from the teams we played last year that says we shouldn't be challenging for a play-off spot, " added Greer.
