Stead scored his first maximum since joining Swindon in the winter |
Swindon have gone three points clear at the top of the Elite League table after a convincing 59-34 home victory over Belle Vue. Simon Stead led the score charts with a paid maximum while Leigh Adams scored 12 and Troy Batchelor weighed in with 11 and a bonus. Stead told BBC Wiltshire: "We dominated, it could've been difficult. We showed a lot of character." "Its coming together a little bit now, we're getting set up a bit better." "The amount of effort that both myself and my mechanics are putting in, its coming to fruition now," Stead added. "I'm feeling more comfortable and feeling better about the whole aspect of my racing." Reserves Cory Gathercole and Kryzstof Stojanowski also put in impressive performances for the Robins.
