Harvey failed to score in round two in Italy (Chris Walker) |
Lincolnshire kart racer Jack Harvey will return to action in round three of the pan-European championship at Mariembourg, Belgium this weekend. Harvey is hoping to continue his good form after winning the Asia-Pacific KF2 title at Suzuka in Japan two weeks ago. The 15-year-old is fifth in the series after suffering mechanical problems in the last round at Lonato, Italy. He said: "I'm still in contention for the title, hopefully I've had my bad luck now and I can go out and win." Harvey and his Birel Motorsport team are in a positive frame of mind after the dominant performance in Japan. "We all needed it and we will be going to Belgium with every intention of standing on the top step of the podium again," said Harvey. "With three events left I need to go out and bring home some big results every time I go out on the track."
