Guernsey's Andy Priaulx takes an extra 27 kilos into this weekend's World Touring Car Championship meeting on the street circuit at Pau in France. The ballast is almost twice as much as he carried in the last round in Valencia when he finished seventh and third in the two races. Priaulx told BBC Guernsey: "27 kilos is manageable, although it's going to be hard work to lug that up the hill. "But the front runners have all got weight so that should be OK." Priaulx is fifth in the drivers championship and his BMW is suffering at the hands of the much better performing Seat cars. All four drivers above Priaulx are driving Seats and even though they will be carrying a lot more ballast he still thinks they will be tough to beat. Priaulx added: "Obviously the Seats and the Chevrolets are really performing at the moment so whatever happens with or without ballast they're still very competitive."
