Changes will not work - Priaulx

World champion touring car driver Andy Priaulx says new limits on the dominant Seat cars will have little effect.

The Seat turbo diesels are faster than all the other cars in the WTCC and are to have their revs limited to 4,100 to try and make it fairer.

"I'm laughing at it to be honest," said Priaulx, who is the leading non-Seat driver in the championship.

"All they're doing is reducing it from 8,000 limit of the petrol engine to the 4,100 limit of the turbo engine."

Priaulx, who drives a BMW, is fifth in the overall standings and says the Seat cars can race up to a second a lap quicker than the rest of the field.

It is claimed the Seat cars are exploiting a loophole in the rules which allows them to go faster.

But Priaulx said reducing the revs would have little effect on the performance of the Seat diesels.
