Tim Herron ended a seven-year wait for a win by clinching the PGA Colonial title in Fort Worth on the second play-off hole. Herron and Sweden's Richard S Johnson ended the tournament tied on 12 under, with Herron clinching his long-awaited victory with a 10-foot birdie putt. Second round leader Rod Pampling came third, two shots behind after a round of 70. Stewart Cink, who set the early pace, was in a group a further shot back.
