Overnight leader Rod Pampling of Australia and America's Tim Herron shared the lead after round three of the PGA Colonial event on 10 under par. Herron bogeyed 16 and 17 but birdied the 18th on his way to a 68, while Pampling bounced back after a bogey on the first hole to card a level-par 70. They are one stroke clear of two more Australians, Peter Lonard and Nathan Green, and Sweden's Richard S Johnson. England's Justin Rose is eight shots off the pace in Texas after a 71.
