Derbyshire golfer Melissa Reid is thrilled with her maiden European Tour title victory.

The 23-year-old, who is attached to Chevin golf club in Duffield, won the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open by two strokes on Sunday.

Reid told the European Tour website: "I played really well on the front nine and didn't do much wrong: I hit one bad shot and the back nine took its toll.

"I felt ready this week to win. I'm very, very happy."

Iben Tinning and Christel Boeljon tied for second place while Becky Brewerton shared fourth place at one over with Mollie Fankhauser.

Reid held a two-shot lead at the start of play and moved four clear with birdies on the second and eighth holes.

She dropped shots on the 10th and 12th as Tinning closed the gap back to two.

Reid then ran into trouble on the 17th, missing the fairway but she recovered for par and secure victory on the 18th.
