Britain's Justin Rose is handily placed behind joint leaders Sergio Garcia and Chris Riley at the rain-delayed Wyndham Championship in Greensboro. Spain's Garcia and American Riley lie on 13 under after 10 third-round holes, with Rose one shot back after playing 13 holes before bad light stopped play. Steve Marino, Fred Couples and Kevin Stadler are also on 12 under. Marino is top of the standings among those to have finished 54 holes, hitting 63 to surge up the leaderboard. Brandt Snedeker and Bill Haas are a stroke further back, with four and eight holes left to play respectively.  | 606: DEBATE |
Englishman Brian Davis is seven under after a round of 68, while Scotland's Martin Laird hit 69 and lies a shot back on six under. Garcia hit a birdie on the four-par first hole after recovering from the rough and was four under through the 10 holes he played. Riley, who led along with Jeff Maggert and Ryan Moore after the second round, kept up his momentum with an eagle on the opening hole when his nine iron from 166 yards bounced in. Couples, who had shot back-to-back rounds of 66, stayed in touch after hitting five birdies and one bogey in his 12 holes. The Wyndham Championship offers players the final chance to collect FedEx Cup points, with the top 125 players on the list earning a place in the play-offs. Riley is currently 129th, but his form at Greensboro means he is on course to qualify comfortably.
