Harris's home club is at Blankney, near Lincoln

Lincolnshire golfer Rob Harris has missed out on a place at The Open after finishing joint 13th at a qualifying event at Western Gailes.

Harris, from Washinborough, began the second round in joint-third place, with the top four set to qualify for next week's event at Turnberry.

But a two-over-par 73 saw the 23-year-old slip down the leaderboard at the Scottish course.

He will now rejoin the Challenge Tour for the next event in France.
