Rory McIlroy finished equal 10th in last week's US Open

Rory McIlroy fired an impressive final round of five-under-par 67 to finish in 15th place on 14 under par at the BMW International Open in Munich.

McIlroy carded an eagle, six birdies and five bogeys in his 18 holes.

Gareth Maybin shot a 72 to end on three under while Michael Hoey recorded a disappointing 80 to finish four over.

England's Nick Dougherty won the tournament on 22 under, with Rafa Echenique second on 21 under and Retief Goosen third on 18 under.

Peter Lawrie signed for a closing 69 to finish 12 under and Gary Murphy registered a 73 for a two-under-par tournament total.
