 Graeme McDowell goes to the Open Championship in good form |
Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke fired confidence boosting final rounds at the Scottish Open on Sunday ahead of next week's Open Championship at Carnoustie. McDowell carded seven birdies and three bogeys in a 67 to finish in a tie for 11th position on nine under par.
Clarke was equal 19th on six under after shooting an impressive 66 which included six birdies and a bogey.
Peter Lawrie ended one under and Paul McGinley level par while Gregory Havret beat Phil Mickelson in a play-off.
Both players ended on 14 under but Frenchman Havret won at the first play-off hole.
Ernie Els was third on 13 under.
Gary Murphy and Damien McGrane missed the halfway cut.
