Coventry City Ladies have named former Aston Villa Ladies manager Rob Williams as their first team coach, working alongside manager Paul Cudby.

Williams is also head coach of England Colleges women's national team, whose captain is City striker Emily Hanson.

The Sky Blues are currently top of the Midland Combination but Williams warns there is still work to do.

He said: "Sporting Club Albion have kept the pressure on though and our run-in will be very difficult."

City's next game is away to Radcliffe Borough this weekend.

Williams added: "I'm confident that we can take that final step, there are a lot of girls here that are more than capable of playing at a higher level."
