Nuneaton Lawn Tennis Club has been awarded a grant of £60,000 by the Lawn Tennis Association. The money will be used to help resurface three courts at the club and install floodlights, with work expected to be completed by the end of April. The plans are aimed at improving the club's player base and playing hours especially for juniors. "Just over 10 years ago this club was at death's door," club chairman Mark Whitelegg said. "But once this project is completed, we will have first-class facilities. "We aim to give as many people as possible the opportunity to play tennis and I hope that one day we will find the next Laura Robson or Andy Murray in Nuneaton," he continued.
