Sunderland took their goal tally to 31 in five games with a 7-1 thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday in the Women's Premier League Northern Division.
Sunday's win kept alive their hopes of a league and cup double as they chase the points tally of Lincoln Ladies.
Manager Mick Mulhern was delighted with his team, as the seven goals all came from different scorers.
"It was a very good performance against a team who made us work for the full 90 minutes," he said.
"It gives me positive selection problems for the cup final next week."
Sunderland must win their remaining two league games against Leicester and Preston if they are to pip Lincoln to the title. Lincoln have already completed their full league programme.
Sunderland meet Arsenal in the final of the FA Women's Cup at Derby's Pride Park next Monday, 4 May.
