Lincoln Ladies beat Tranmere Rovers 4-0 at home on Sunday in the Northern Division of the Premier League.
The Lady Imps dominated the match which saw a brace of goals apiece from Jodie Michalska and Megan Harris.
Lincoln manager Rod Wilson said: "The girls played at another level compared with last week. We could have won the match by a lot more.
"We must convert our early chances and kill off games quicker - then we will be a force to be reckoned with."
Lincoln now sit at the top of the table, five points ahead of Sunderland, but their title rivals have four games in hand over the Lady Imps.
Meanwhile, Lincoln could be reinstated to the women's FA Cup, as the Football Association investigates claims that Curzon Ashton fielded an ineligible player in last weekend's 1-0 defeat. A hearing is to be held in London on Monday.
