First Tower United have suffered their first league defeat in over two seasons after losing 1-0 at home to St Paul's.
Claire Tonner's goal for St Paul broke Tower's run of 33 successive unbeaten league matches.
St Paul's win brings them equal on eighteen points with Tower at the top of the table.
Tower coach Geoff van der Vliet was unconcerned with the record: "At the end of the day the girls didn't even know about the record."
He added: "To have some competition at the top of the table has to be good for ladies football in the Island."
