Lincoln Ladies began their FA Women's Premier League Northern Division campaign by crushing Sheffield Wednesday 7-0.

Midfielder Carla Ward led the way with four goals, while Amanda Barr netted a brace and Kerry Smith also scored.

Lady Imps manager Rod Wilson said: "I couldn't be happier with the attitude and the performance of the girls.

"It's a fantastic result but we're still a little bit ring rusty and will get sharper and fitter."
