Blizzard conditions forced the postponement on the game

Sunderland Ladies' top-of-the-table clash with Lincoln became a casualty of the arctic weather when their match was abandoned at half time on Sunday.

The game began amid a blizzard and as the half progressed conditions deteriorated leaving the officials with no choice but to halt proceedings.

Lincoln had been leading following a Jodie Snelson's edge-of-the-box super strike on 26 minutes.

No date has been announced for the rescheduled game.
