Bristol Academy will face FA Cup holders Arsenal in the semi-finals after a 1-0 win against Liverpool.
Emma Jones' goal was enough to see them through in their sixth-round tie.
Blackburn Rovers, a week after knocking Leeds United out of the FA Cup, beat the same opponents 2-1 in their Premier League encounter.
In the only other top-flight game of the weekend, England striker Jody Handley hit a hat-trick as Everton trounced struggling Sunderland 5-0.
FA WOMEN'S CUP QUARTER- FINAL
Liverpool 0-1 Bristol Academy
Liverpool, third in the Northern Division table, gave as good as they got against their top-flight opponents in an evenly fought contest.
But the Reds failed to take any of the goalscoring opportunities they produced and were punished when central defender Jones headed in the 59th-minute winner.
Revised semi-final draw
Blackburn Rovers v Charlton Athletic
Bristol Academy v Arsenal
WOMEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE
Blackburn Rovers 2-1 Leeds United
After coming from behind to beat Leeds 2-1 in the FA Cup last week, Rovers again had to claw their way back to snatch victory.
Former England winger Karen Burke put Leeds in front after 20 minutes but the home side levelled through Andi Bell just before the half-hour.
And nine minutes into the second half striker Katie Anderton, just as she did last week, hit the winner to maintain a tremendous goalscoring sequence.
She has scored 21 times in Blackburn's last 17 games - in only two of which she has failed to find the net.
Victory lifted Rovers up to sixth place in the table but Leeds, despite losing a League match for only the second time this season, stayed in second place.
Everton 5-0 Sunderland
A comfortable win inspired by Jody Handley took the Toffees up to fourth place, level on points with Charlton Athletic.
After opening the scoring in the 15th minute, Handley floated over the free-kick from which England left back Rachel Unitt hit the second goal eight minutes later.
Handley completed her hat-trick with neat strikes in the 26th and 62nd minutes - then provided the cross for Jill Scott to head in the final goal three minutes from time.
Sunderland's defeat, the eighth they have suffered in their last 10 League outings, leaves them only one point above the relegation zone.
