Leeds deny Donny on stadium debut
By Tony Leighton

Two-goal Lucy Ward was the party-pooper in chief as Leeds won 5-2 at Doncaster Belles to spoil Donny's first appearance at the new Keepmoat Stadium.

Defeat leaves the Belles struggling in ninth in the 12-team table, while Leeds remain second behind Arsenal.

The Gunners were in rampant form at Sunderland, winning 9-0.

In delayed FA Cup ties, the shock of round four was at Northern Division Aston Villa, who lost 1-0 to South East Combination side Colchester United.

WOMEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE

Doncaster Rovers Belles 2-5 Leeds United

The party atmosphere at the Keepmoat Stadium was dented by Leeds goals from Natalie Preston and Lucy Ward in the opening 17 minutes.

But Donny hit back to draw level through captain Vicky Exley and, four minutes before half-time, Pauline Hamill.

However, Ward struck her 10th goal of the season eight minutes after the break and Rachel McArthur hit the killer goal in the 79th minute.

To rub salt in the Donny wounds, their ex-striker Amanda Barr, on her debut for Leeds after signing from Blackburn Rovers, completed the scoring five minutes from time.

Sunderland 0-9 Arsenal

Jayne Ludlow's hat-trick took her season's goal tally to 12 and Arsenal's to 66 in only nine League outings.

The other Gunners goals came from Kelly Smith, Katie Chapman, Karen Carney, Alex Scott, Lianne Sanderson and Gemma Davison.

FA WOMEN'S CUP, ROUND FOUR

Aston Villa 0-1 Colchester United

Hannah Porter gave Colchester a famous victory with a tremendous 25-yard free-kick 18 minutes into the second half.

Birmingham City 3-1 Manchester City

Goals by Katy Ward, Dani Bird and Maz Gauntlett took the Blues through against Northern Division opponents City, for whom Louise Belcher hit a late consolation goal.

Charlton Athletic 8-0 West Ham United

Two goals by Katie Holtham set Charlton on their way to a conclusive victory over the Southern Division Hammers.

In the goal procession that followed, Michelle Hickmott, Casey Stoney, substitute Jo Potter, Dani Murphy and Gemma Ritchie put their names on the scoresheet.

Fulham 1-2 Cardiff City

Cardiff came from behind to inflict a 15th defeat in 15 League and Cup matches on the suffering Cottagers.

Claire Williams shot the home side in front but goals by Gwennan Harries and Jessica Fishlock took the Bluebirds into the fifth round.

Millwall Lionesses 0-6 Everton

First-half goals from Emily Westwood and Michelle Evans put Everton on the road to a comfortable win at Southern Division Millwall.

Jill Scott, Fara Williams, Jody Handley and Kelly McDougall - Williams and McDougall from the penalty spot - were on target after the break.

Bristol Academy's derby tie with Bristol City was postponed for a second time but has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening.

Revised fifth round draw:
Bristol Academy or Bristol City v Tranmere Rovers
Nottingham Forest v Charlton Athletic
Langford v Everton
Liverpool v Watford
Cardiff City v Leeds United
Colchester United v Birmingham City
Blackburn Rovers v Chelsea
Arsenal v Reading Royals
