York City have signed striker Mark Beesley on a one-month loan from Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Fleetwood.
The 29-year-old has previously played at Chester, Cambridge United, Forest Green Rovers, Hereford and Preston.
Beesley began at North End before spending three and a half seasons at Chester City.
He joined Forest Green in 2004 and, after a loan spell at Lancaster City, rejoined them before moving to Cambridge in 2008.
Meanwhile winger David McDermott has been released after failing to start a senior match for the Minstermen.
The former Kidderminster midfielder was signed after a promising pre-season trial but he has only managed four substitute appearances.
He last featured during Martin Foyle's final game in charge at Mansfield in September.
