Ross Potter's brief is to increase the revenue at the club
York City have announced Ross Potter as their new commercial manager to replace Elliot Stroud who is moving on after three years in the role.
The 32-year-old lives in the city and is a supporter of the club.
Potter told BBC Radio York: "It's going to be a great challenge and as a York City supporter I feel very excited."
"I'm looking forward to getting to know supporters and sponsors better in the coming weeks and to further enhance the club's commercial strategy."
Business development director Rob McGill said: "We are very pleased to welcome Ross Potter to York City.
"He was a very strong candidate for the role and I believe he will be a great asset to the club's commercial operations.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Elliot Stroud for his efforts over the past three years and we all wish him the very best for his future career in the football industry."
