Terry Skiverton wants to end Yeovil Town negativity

Yeovil Town boss Terry Skiverton says successive clean sheets should have put any negative thoughts to rest.

After a 1-0 win at Walsall a week ago, the Glovers beat Rochdale by the same scoreline on Saturday to move four points clear of danger in League One.

"We've had a few negatives around the club, but we need to be positive," Skiverton told BBC Somerset.

"We are a magnificent football club, we are a famous club, and me and my staff love working for the club."

Yeovil, who took only seven points from their first eight matches, have now risen to 16th in League One.

I am pleased for the lads and pleased for the coaching stuff as we went through a tough time

Skiverton's side have picked up seven points out of a possible nine, and are now just three adrift of the play-off places.

"It is really pleasing that we've got back-to-back clean sheets and we've thrown some little gauntlets down," added Skiverton.

"We are sticking to our targets at the moment and that corner does seem to have been turned.

"I am pleased for the lads and pleased for the coaching stuff as we went through a tough time."

Yeovil host fifth-placed Sheffield Wednesday at Huish Park this Saturday (16 October, 1500 BST), when they have a further chance to bridge that gap on the play-off pack.
