Brad Davis (l) and Ian McGeechan were left disappointed on Sunday |
Bath assistant coach Brad Davis says his side need to improve and be consistent all across the field if they are to be successful this season. They were beaten at home by Biarritz on Sunday in their first group game of this season's Heineken Cup. Davis told BBC Bristol: "Have we put it together as a team in all facets of the game? Probably not I would say. "If we have aspirations to get through these pool stages we have got to tie all these areas together." Bath led 8-0 at half time but ended up losing 12-11, while also declining a late drop-goal chance under the posts. | 606: DEBATE |
"We are going to keep working hard and find the positives, while understanding why we have fallen short," added Davis. Their next match in the Heineken Cup is on Saturday as they travel to Italian side Aironi, who lost their opening game to Ulster. Bath are fourth in the Premiership table with three wins from their first five matches, six points behind leaders London Irish.
