Relegated Wycombe Wanderers will be without striker Stuart Beavon for three months after he broke his leg.
The injury is a blow for manager Gary Waddock before Saturday's final League One game at home to Gillingham.
Beavon will miss pre-season training after he was carried off during the 3-2 defeat by Maidenhead in the Berks and Bucks final on Monday.
X-rays later revealed that Beavon, who is 26 on Wednesday, had a fracture to his left fibula.
Beavon joined Wycombe on loan from Weymouth in February 2009 and the move was made permanent in the summer.
He has made 15 league and cup appearances this season, 12 as a substitute, scoring three goals.
