Former Wales under-21 international Kyle Critchell has had his Wrexham contract terminated by mutual consent.
The 22-year-old played just twice in an injury-plagued stay at the Blue Square Premier club since joining Wrexham from Weymouth last summer.
Critchell spent four months out with an ankle injury before loan spells at York City and Weymouth this season.
The ex-Southampton defender had one year left on his Wrexham deal but both parties agreed for it to be terminated.
A Wrexham statement said: "He leaves with our best wishes and we hope he will soon be settled with a new club."
