Craddock's loan spell could come to a premature end |
Wrexham have moved quickly to cover the loss of two strikers by lining up another loan signing. Sunderland's Kevin Smith, 19, will train with the squad on Thursday and Wrexham hope to complete the deal in time for the visit of Macclesfield.
Striker Chris Llewellyn will miss that match on Saturday as he starts a three-game ban, while recent loan signing Tom Craddock has a knee injury.
Craddock's injury is set to keep him on the sidelines for at least two weeks.
The 20-year-old made a scoring debut for the Dragons on Saturday after joining on a month's loan from Middlesbrough.

But he has now joined fellow strikers Neil Roberts and Lee McEvilly in succumbing to the Wrexham injury jink.
Sunderland teenager Smith was at Leeds United's youth academy before switching to the Stadium of Light in January this year.
The Scot has yet to make a first team appearance for the Black Cats, but Wrexham manager Denis Smith is confident he will fit the bill perfectly at the Racecourse.
"I was first recommended the lad when he was at Leeds, but Sunderland paid a fee to take to the north-east earlier this year," said Smith.
"Sunderland don't have a reserve side this season, so he is not getting a game at the moment. Hopefully, this will be good opportunity for Kevin to come in and show what he can do.
"They have also agreed for him to be available for our FA Cup tie against Stevenage, which in our current position with strikers, is a big bonus."
