Zubar started his professional career with French side Caen
Wolves will be without right-back Ronald Zubar for at least a month after learning that he requires surgery to remove an ankle spur.
The 25-year-old has been restricted to two appearances so far this season, starting against Southend and as a substitute against Newcastle.
"He's having it done this week, but they had to wait to rest it for the week," said Wolves boss Mick McCarthy.
"It's the best time to do it because we've got two weeks without a game."
Zubar has played 23 Premier League games for Wolves since joining them from Olympique Marseille, scoring a crucial goal in the win at West Ham in March.
It's been frustrating, a little bit of one thing after another for him
Mick McCarthy
"It's been frustrating for him because he twisted his ankle in the first friendly and it's been a little bit of one thing after another for him," McCarthy told the club's website.
"Having said that, Kevin Foley has played excellently for us and I thought he was different class for us on Saturday."
Wolves at least have better news on the injury front with summer signing Stephen Hunt in contention to make his debut for the club before the end of the month.
