Wolves have turned to their former goalkeeper Michael Oakes to fill the void left by a minor injury crisis.

With Matt Murray recovering from knee surgery and Wayne Hennessey struggling with a jarred knee, Oakes will cover for young keeper Carl Ikeme.

Released by Cardiff City this summer, Oakes has been training with Wolves while he looks for a new club.

He will be among boss Mick McCarthy's substitutes for the pre-season trip to Walsall on Tuesday night (1945 BST).
