Hennessey tipped for bright future |
Cardiff keeper Michael Oakes has tipped former team-mate Wayne Hennessey to become one of the goalkeeping greats. Thirty-three-year-old Oakes was at Wolves last season when the 20-year-old Welsh international broke into the first team.
And the two keepers come face to face on Wednesday night when Cardiff host Wolves in the Championship.
"Wayne has done tremendously well this last six months," said Oakes. "He has got everything going for him."
Oakes made 199 league appearances for Wolves but found himself out of favour last season before moving to Ninian Park in the summer.

Hennessey came through the ranks at Molineux and an injury to first-choice keeper Matt Murray gave him his chance in the play-off semi-finals in May.
His performances, on top of keeping nine clean sheets while on loan at Stockport earlier in the year, earned him his first senior Wales cap in the 1-1 draw with New Zealand.
And he has not looked back since, holding down the number one shirt for both club and country.
"Wayne has gone into Matt Murray's place and is right at home," said Oakes.
"He is coming on leaps and bounds and his future is really bright. He is a calm character, his feet are still on the ground.
"It's all there for him. He's a great kicker and just needs to keep his head down, keep working hard and I'm sure he can go as far as he wants to."
