Lewer mulls over contract offer

Alan Lewer
Lewer joined Weymouth in January 2008 as assistant to John Hollins

Weymouth caretaker boss Alan Lewer will decide on Friday whether to accept an offer to become the Blue Square Premier club's new full-time manager.

Lewer initially took over in November after the departure of John Hollins.

"An offer has been made and I will spend the next two days thinking it over," he told the Dorset Echo.

"The budget has been cut to a level the consortium feels is affordable in the present climate and I will be sitting down for a chat with them on Friday."

Meanwhile, defender Adam Bygrave and midfielder Josh Webb have both left the club.

Bygrave, 19, has joined Blue Square Premier rivals Histon for 5,000 plus clauses while Webb, 18, had his contract terminated by the Terras and has joined Farnborough Town.
