Baggies defender Jonas Olsson gets first Sweden call-up
Olsson made 20 appearances for Sweden's Under-21 side
West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson has received his first call-up for the Sweden national team.
Olsson, 27, has been included in new coach Erik Hamren's squad for the friendly against Wales at Swansea's Liberty Stadium on 3 March.
"It's something I've aspired to in my career," Olsson told the club website.
"Anyone who has got ambitions as a footballer wants to represent their country and it is something I will be proud to do."
Olsson joined the Baggies from Dutch club Nijmegen for £800,000 in August 2008 and has made 65 appearances for the Championship side, scoring eight goals.

After receiving his first call-up to the national team, he has ambitions of being a regular in the Sweden squad for the upcoming Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.
"It's a new coach and it feels good to be in the discussion about the squad so early in his reign," added Olsson.
"The Euro 2012 qualifiers are coming up in the autumn and hopefully we (Albion) will be back in the Premier League by then, which will increase my international chances even more."
